Two stages of the 25-meter rapid fire shooting qualification took place in which GM Bashir scored a total of 581 points, failing to make it to the list of the top six shooters who advanced to the medal round. In the first stage, he scored 292 points, achieving 98 points in the first series of 8 seconds, 99 points in the second series of 6 seconds, and 95 points in the 4-second series. In the second stage, GM Bashir could not perform up to his potential, scoring 97, 97, and 95 points in the three series, which was not enough to place him in the top 6. Thus, Bashir's Olympic journey came to an end.Out of the seven athletes who went to the Paris Olympics, six have already ended their journey empty-handed. All of Pakistan's hopes rest on Arshad Nadeem now, who will compete in the initial round of his event on August 6, and if he makes it to the finals, he will be in action on August 8.
